Pages and blocks

Everything in Mecmua is a page. A page is made of blocks: a paragraph, a heading, a list, a picture, a table.

#Make a page

  1. Choose New page in the sidebar.
  2. Type a title. It becomes the page’s name in the sidebar.
  3. Click below the title and start writing.
There is no Save button. Mecmua saves every word as you type it, so you can close the window at any time.

#Add anything with /

Type / at the start of a line and a menu opens with everything you can add: headings, bulleted and numbered lists, checklists, quotes, tables, boards, canvases, PDFs and more.

Keep typing to narrow the list down, for example /head for headings, then press Enter.

#Move blocks around

Hover over a block and a small handle appears at its left. Drag the handle to move the block up or down. Drop it beside another block to make two columns.

#Pages inside pages

Hover over a page in the sidebar and press + to add a page inside it. Go as deep as you like: a course can hold its lessons, and each lesson its notes. You can also drag pages onto each other in the sidebar to move them.

#Writing in other languages

Arabic, Hebrew and other right-to-left languages work on the same page as English, even in the same paragraph.
